Benchmark DAC1 arrived today

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

It sounds fine, straight out of the box, but I'll give it some time to settle in before detailed further comment. I have it in the office system at the moment and will do a comparison between it and the Audio Note DAC 1X Signature later in the main system. I'll include the Meridian 861 in that comparision also and use the (modified) Meridian 800 player as the source - all 2CH only. This comparison will be a PIA so it may not be for a week or two and I'll try to borrow some younger ears to help.
First impressions are that it is every bit as good as the Audio Note 1x Signature so, at half the price, it is a steal.
