Has anyone compared the new Wadia 861se to Mark Levinson's 390s. Both of these CD players are well regarded and both have digital volume controls built in. I am looking for the one that will provide the best harmonic bloom, transparency, focus and refinement. I own the Meridian G08 (nicely balanced tonally) but it requires a preamp. I am looking for a player that would be a clear improvement over the G08's performance. My ultimate goal is discard my preamp and run either the ML 390s or the Wadia 861se direct into my amp. Any experiences with these two CD players would be very helpful, as there are no dealers in my area and will not be able to try before I buy.
Thanks!
