Tosh 3960 vs. Panasonic S47 as transport for dAck!

209.6.169.39

Hi all,

I know the Tosh 3960/50 has been well reviewed as probably the best low cost transport for the dAck! Well, I got both 3960 and the Panny S47 at home, trying to decide which one to keep when my dAck! arrives. The Panny definitely has better sonics stock than the 3960 (better transparency, imaging, staging, and inner detail, but perhaps less full base)and a quieter transport. The Tosh transport buzzes and vibrates at times. But I'm wondering which will work as a better transport for the dAck! since the analogue section of the DVD/CD player doesn't affect the digital out from the transport section. What do you think? May be Vinnie has some insight?
