I have several NEC 602's that have been modified in different ways. I built a regulated 5 and 12 volt power supply using LT 1085 regs and Muse caps. I feel the improvement in sound qualiy is substatial. I would also recommend changing the electolytics on the board to Muse or Panasonics. Also replace rectifiers with better types.Good Luck
