The Canadian facility which supplied the DAC Kits and upgrades is now focused fulltime on assembling DAC 2.1x Balanced and DAC 3.1x Balanced and the new M1 and M2 preamps. This, in large part, is why the DAC kits are no longer available. The following is the announcement shown on the kits and components page on the Audio Note UK site:
KITS & COMPONENTS NOTICE
We regret to announce that we shall cease selling all components, parts and kits directly from Audio Note (UK) as of 15th February 2003.
All future inquiries must be made to our component distributors:

(1) replace the Jensen coupling caps with AN copper foil PIO caps,
(2 )Upgrade the foot-long piece of cable running the depth of the cabinet and
(3) upgrade the 12AU7 tube. They are available through the usual tube vendors, or ebay auction. Since there is only one, "orphans" may be snatched up on the cheap.
Keep your ears and your mind open.
