Odd problem (?) with Njoe Tjoeb

Had an odd problem with my Njoe Tjoeb this morning. (I installed the upsampler board a while back, I'm using Mullard tubes, and I tend to leave it on all the time.)

I had made a CD-R backup, in mp3 format, of some of my music (as an experiment and for the car). The CD-R played on my computer and in my DVD player, but in the NT, I only got clicking noises. Thinking it may be a problem with the mp3 format, I put in a CD-R of an LP transfer a friend made for me (which the NT has played before, but I wasn't sure if I'd played it since I installed the upsampler): same result (clicks).

Here's the kicker: I then put in a regular, store-bought CD, AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. Now I was concerned. Powered the NT off, then on: it then played the CD. Now, it will play all three disks (CD and CD-R's) just fine.

Anyone know what happened, and if this indicates anything I should be concerned about?

Thanks for any replies!
