Started with chinese stock tubes, pretty fair, then tried Sovtek 12ax7lps-much better bass, very foreward, maybe a little too much top end on some recordings. Overall I liked them. The GE's seemed to improve the top end and soundstage depth. Have not tried the blackplates-there seems to be a seller's market on them and the price is getting out of control.
