If you've had the opportunity to compare the two machines and - prefer the SCD-1 - end of story - enough said. As I said - I never compared the two because I wanted balanced outputs and digital outputs so I disregarded the the 777ES and went for the SCD-1.Glad to hear you think I done good!!
But - Why would the door have a tendency to stick on the 777 but not on the SCD-1???
I've only had my unit a few weeks and have not had any trouble - but I didn't think the door mechanism was one of the differences between the two machines. So why would the 777ES stick but not the SCD-1? Any thoughts?
