I own the Sony SCD-1. I would have bought it without ever using it d=for SACD's. It plays redbook CD's wonderfully. I have a few SACD's and they do sound very good.. but we have yet to hear what SACD is all about. As soon as they get the mastering technique optimized, then we will be in for a real treat. The few SACD's I do have do sound better than CD's. They are more natural sounding and real.. All the dots are connected.. so to speak. I can't wait to hear some of my favorites once they are SACD ready.
