Mark, I was in your situation. I decided to use the Perpetual Technologies P-1A DCE, ModWright Signature "Plus" P-3A DAC & Monolithic Sound P3 power supply with my DVD player. You'll be hard pressed to find a better value/performance than the PT gear.As soon (next year?) as SACD gets a bit more mature, I plan to get a good single disc player & use the redbook CD digital output with my PT goodies.
