Hi Dan. I have been considering the three box (two cable) approach which you have been using until your recent purchase of the Sony 9000 (which puts your current front end well above my $2000 budget). I have not heard this combination, nor would it be easy for me to. My concern is that a modified inexpensive DVD player used as a Redbook CD transport would be a weak link in this somewhat cumbersome chain. I don't know.I have been following your speaker search. I can't help you much there as I have not yet fully assembled my system. I do have reason to believe that the BC1s will be very nice with the rest of the gear. I have not heard the speakers that you have lately been auditioning.
