Hi there,I have recently ordered a Tact RCS 2.0 and now face one big problem:
I use an Apple mac. This may make connecting it to the Tact a bit
difficult. Anyone out there that can be of help?I now have a G3 but will have a G4 shortly. I use Virtual PC 2.1.3 but
can upgrade it to 4.0 if the need arises. On my current machine I can't access the help topics in the software,
but I can open the help file by selecting it. Also, I can't open any
target curves. I can see them, but when I select one nothing happens
and the line remains a straight one. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Then, the connecting. The Tact-side uses a telephone connector,
doesn't it? And at the other end of the cable is a RS 232 plug? What do
I do? Thing that spring to mind are:- a cable with two telephone plugs of which one is connected to the
modem-slot of the Mac (In Virtual PC 2.1.3 I can select in Preferences
to switch COM 1 to the serial Mac Modem port). Is this the simple
answer?- Or is there a way to connect the cable that is supplied with the Tact
to USB? (So: a RS 232 - USB connector)???What connectors does the supplied cable have anyway? Can one of the
pc-users out there tell me that?Look forward to hearing from you!
