RE: further info on dac filter options available with this chip.

I don't have volume controls on my amps or preamp for that matter. I wanted a remote volume something for years now. I have tried all sorts of remote options. I have built moterised alps based. alps blue and black = garbage to different boards. I tried digit chip based only one sofar keeping an open mind on that tech. tried relays cheap nasty. I cant afford or justify the few hiend remote tvc`s out there. I am confident I could live with those. I have 2 resistive networks that I live with in different systems. A tech 600 ohm network that is hand wound nickel filament on bobbins in a switch. Amasing vintage find. And 2 vishay cermet trimmers for level set in this preamp. There not something you can use daily.

I want to adjust level every few minutes or more often from my bed. I watch tv and listen to many different things on you tube constantly being assaulted by adds and such. I have used my pc for level but that is limiting on the digital outputs I can use. A good hi quality dac with volume is a nice thrill for me. I can use usb now.

This one is good and getting better but it is dry like all the other opamp based dacs I have. I try the latest little Chinese kit dacs as they come out over the years. Its still not good as my multibit board with class A fet output. I think I need to buy another one of these boards.

Like all my gear it is modular it has a off board power supply so for 100$ I can get another board and try to hack in some trans and a tube output.

I quite playing with tubes and dac years ago when I blew 2 pcm1702 chips in one go back when they where dear with one hot plug. I have a lot of trans now so perhaps that could give me a better chance and boards are cheap and plentiful. Its time to get serious again. I never forget how good my tube output was on my assemblage dac. It is time to banish the last silicon from my amplification. Come to think of it I do not have a resister directly in my signal path other then this dac and the vishay trimmers. Resisters always dry up my sound to my ears. I can tolerate trans I know some cant stand them.

I am working on a you tube account I am doing some videos of my projects . This is featured stay tuned. If your bored you tube works for me when I want to waste time ha ha
