I'm wondering if purchasing a decent DAC. like the Bifrost, and running it with my Onkyo C-7030 cd player (which has a Wolfson DAC, not able to find out which model number), would be an adequate sonic improvement over the Onkyo by itself, to warrant the expenditure....
I have a headphone system with a TOTL amp and headphones. Very sensitive to changes. I definitely don't want to upgrade the cd player, as that would be too big an expenditure right now.
The more opinions, the better! Thanks.
