Cheap computer CD drives all extract bit perfect files off of disc. Computer programs would crash if they didn't. The only relevant variable in an a computer style hit perfect 'memory' audio transport application then is the amount of jitter introduced to the bit stream as it's transmitted over the interface to the DAC.

Paul McGowen has a long track record of maximizing sales hype, in my opinion.
Unsubstantiated claims of an audio component extracting more information is an old industry marketing tactic.
