RE: Oppo 105D as a stand-alone CD transport

I replaced my deceased dCS Verdi with a Memory Transport and was very pleasantly surprised. Though it cost much less, the PWT made up for its slightly lesser resolution and sense of space with a very agreeable richness of tone. CDs that formerly sounded a bit thin on the dCS are fuller-sounding now. I'm not too concerned about the 60-or-so SACDs I can't play anymore, either, though I understand their new transport will handle them (though only when paired with their DAC... I'm using a dCS DAC right now).
