Another suggestion if this does turn out to be the culprit .After you've "re-snugged up" anything that may have loosened up, put a tiny bit of "Loctite" or similar on a cue tip & put it on top of the screw heads you've just retightened. This is more then likely a bit of "overkill", but as long as you're in there ,why not ? (Just stay away from getting it on anything that's part of a signal path circuitry) (It goes without saying there's no reason to over torque whatever you retightened)
One more suggestion . Vibration is not a disc player's friend & the stock feet on most players
may or may not be barely sufficient to help with it. Get rid of the stock feet & put the player on some Herbies Footers, these work at least as good as some more expensive feet that are available (& more importantly they address taking the vibration away from the player)
