whirring sound is far more noticeable on SACD than CD as SACD spins 2x faster. On my Marantz SA11 s1, I can hear that noise between tracks and when sound level is very low, but only on SACD play back.Instruction manual says"While disc is spinning, a spinning sound is heard or a slight vibration occur. Depending on the disc ,a spinning sound may occur or the unit may vibrate slightly due to eccentricity or such. This is not a problem with this unit"
