Depending upon how your CD transport is attached to the players chasis one or more screws holding it in place may have become slightly loose.. The slight ticking you're hearing may be due to the rotation of the disc is causing a slight wobble of the transport as the disc is spinning !
If the ticking I seems to happen at an evenly timed intervals there a good chance that this is what happened .
