RE: ReVox B226 is now great!!!

As an owner of a vintage PHILIPS CDP myself I understand your fascination with older technologies. Since you have gone this far with the player, I suggest a clock which will give the player natural highs and eliminate ringing. The TDA1541A and SAA7220 P/B benefit greatly from this upgrade. I can also suggest getting a new TDA1541A as the bit resolution has gone down to 15 bit or below. The TDA1541A S1 Crown Quality Selection yielded 15.93 bits of resolution when they were new.

If your player can read and play CD/RW then the LASER is strong and can track pretty well so go ahead and make it as good as you like.
