Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

RE: Esoteric DV60

If you plan on connecting the Oppo BDP-105D via HDMI, you can save a lot of money by buying the BDP-103D instead. It has the same HDMI connections and the same multi-channel analog connections as the BDP-105D. The only difference is the BDP-103D does not have the special two-channel analog output section with balanced outputs and it also doesn't have DAC inputs or the front panel headphone jack. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure the two are identical in all other respects.

I own the BDP-105D because I need stereo balanced outputs, but I bought the BDP-103D for my grown children for Christmas so I could give them all my digital music. The BDP-103D still has three USB "A" ports for connecting USB hard drives and flash drives containing hi-res digital music up to 24/192 and DSD.

Best regards,
John Elison
