RE: Oppo 105 to Sony Hapz-1ES?

Thanks Dennis1. However I see that backups still require the use of a PC and the downloadable Sony software. So the OP will still not be free of computer use and cannot rely wholly upon his Oppo drive (which I had the impression was what he intends).

Given this I cannot see any advantage to the CD direct connection except for odd occasions e.g. when a friend brings a CD round and a quick rip is required so it can be listened to. I guess that is what Sony intends the feature for.
