I have been helping a friend load music onto their HAP Z1-ES. It will only allow you to load music onto its hard drive over the network or by directly attaching a USB cd burner. Except for internet radio, it will not connect to the network or another device to play directly from it. We have not tried burning cd directly into the HAP Z1, just loading over the network (wired ethernet). The music is stored on a WD Mycloud 6TB NAS and we use an older macbook Pro to drag and drop files from the Network into the Sony hard drives (we added a 5tb USB (external)drive).
