A vintage modded/refurbished Sony Playstation 1 (SCPH-1001 or SCPH-5001 only). I have a few in my collection (among many other CD players) and I still prefer it over some other CD players for smooth, non-fatiguing sound.

Cost = around $100 after refurbs and mods.
