Not exactly a DAC in the conventional sense, but if a computer is your primary source than its a perfect solution. Not only does it sound fantastic but it will make listening sessions more enjoyable by its ease of use. I bought mine after a several visits to the dealer; it was featured in a Manley Neo-Classic based system with Joseph Audio speakers. The Nordost cabling cost more than the Sony but it certainly wasn't out of place.
