The only things I've heard about differences in the Metrum DACs is that things like micro-detail and soundstage improve as you go up the line; my evidence for this is purely anecdotal though.
I have a Musette and I'm happy with it; the soundstage and detail are enough for me, though it's possible they could be improved on. But I don't know this; this is the best DAC I've ever owned, and so I have nothing to compare it with long term.
