RE: USB to spdif that downsamples

I doubt you will find any. Reason being, this option belongs into the playback software. Check the maximum sample rate settings in yours.

I would recommend against AES. There are some here who rant and rave about SPDIF and how you must use 75 Ohm BNC. But the impedance mismatch for BNC vs. RCA is trivial next to the AES connection on XLR. So with XLR for digital you really create huge problems.
