RE: M6DAC

Wow, that is a good price! I have had several MF DACs starting from the X-ACT and X-DAC (which were my project DACs), to X-24K, then X-DACv3 which became heavily modified.

If DSD is not a requirement, I would seriously consider the NAD M51 as an option that I found to be a significant step up. The HDMI input is low jitter since the NAD uses a video reference clock and the HDMI data has the same low jitter performance as the other inputs.
I'm using this as my preamp with a Bryston 4BSST and MartinLogan Summits. For the first time, I have no itch to consider upgrading.
