I have a lot of experience with previous MF DACs. In general they are examples of solid but not especially innovative engineering - they always use standard off the shelf components to do upsampling and digital filtering is always the on board filter (in this case a BB DSD1796).
You can expect good performance and sound quality. However, it depends on your specific requirements and what price you are being offered for this DAC?
AudioAdvisor are showing USD2999 - at this price, better features can be had. The Benchmark DAC2D will also offer the ability to decode DSD. The Cambridge Audio 851N adds a Network Streaming option.
