Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

RE: The problem is the obsolete CD format, not digital.

You obviously have never measured distortion in a vinyl reproduction system. I have measured my system on many occasions and even with my state-of-the-art vinyl front-end, distortion is anywhere from 10 to 100 times greater than 16/44 Redbook CD. Not only can CD digital capture the sound of cassette tape, but it can transparently capture the sound of vinyl, too. I guess we've had significantly different experiences with vinyl and digital. So be it!
