RE: CD Player or DAC recommendations

I bought an Oppo BDP-105D and I really like it. Of course, I have an audio/video system so I need a universal digital player. The Oppo has balanced stereo outputs, which was a requirement for me since my system is fully balanced. It also has a warm sound quality with digital media, so it might fit your needs in that regard. The Oppo has three USB ports for connecting flash drives and hard drives containing digital music files up to 24/192 and DSD(2.8-MHz). You need to connect a monitor in order to sort through your music files, but it becomes a music server. It has a fourth USB "B" port if you want to use it as a USB DAC to connect a computer music server. It will handle 24/192 and up to DSD(5.6-MHz) from a computer music server. It also plays DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, CDs, and SACDs. It does virtually everything digital and fits your budget at $1300. Furthermore, it has a 30-day return when you buy it directly from Oppo.

Check it out.
