I didn't realize Lampi sold kits. You are correct on the sound, I've heard a few of the Lampi DAC's and you hear music with no digital ugnliness. The sound is not overly warm or golden either it's just musical.
I've had the pleasure of meeting Lukus and hanging out a bit, he is a nice guy and seems to have a lot of integrity for what he does.
