RE: I used to think that.

I knew I should have left that "tongue in cheek" remark about Acoustic Music listeners off.

Most recorded music either works for you or it doesn't. A lot of music outside of my musical
interest wheelhouse doesn't work for me specifically due to the generally accepted recording
techniques used for those genres. I really enjoy hearing some measure into the "Acoustic" of
the event of music being played in a live dimensional space.

I suppose there may be a lot of Competently recorded available music. How "Well" recorded
you find music to be can be a subjective call at best, depending upon how engaged you
become in what you're listening to . ( Hearing more from your CDs can go both ways as far
as realizing whether you care for the recording more or not)

In short, I have no misgivings about what I used to think. I simply go with the evidence of
what I'm currently hearing ( I should have just said that first & saved everyone from reading
3 paragraphs , huh ) Have a great day !

(Oh I almost forgot to mention ; When I do listen to CDs I prefer to use my player as a transport & send the digital signal out to my Metrum Hex DAC. The Hex normally tells me
very quickly how good (or many times great) a CD may be . )
