Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I used to think that.

But a lot of jazz, rock and electronica is very well recorded, and if you can find digital players which try to avoid dynamic compression (like good 1704 designs), you can reap fuller rewards from them. In fact, my CD player positively encourages me to listen to great opera, too.

I find myself listening differently and with highly discriminating dynamic players, turning it up to "11".
