Hey,!!! I'm old I put Vaseline on a lot of stuff
As far as my music listening goes though I also prefer a "clear lens" approach.,but I think
this works for me specifically due to the Music Genres I listen to. Orchestral & other types
of Acoustic music lend themselves well to getting as much clarity as possible. Other musical
genres not so much.
Adding some "Colorations" definitely improves the way some music sounds . (Not everyone
has the "Superior" musical taste that Acoustical music listeners do,) (He,he,he....; I made sure to add the chuckle)
