RE: cd quality

I've tried a lot of different visual "theories", including what's printed on the center hub of CDs, or even on the case notes.... But nothing ever came of that. Even "recommended pressings" I've read about often fail.

The only way to identify a good sounding CD pressing is by listening. And even there, you might find another CD that's visually identical, but sounds totally different. I think visually identical CDs vary in sound more than visually identical LPs.
