Hi and thanks a lot for the very interesting and valuable advice.
I do not have the MF but i do have a Dacmagic 100 with which i have tried a 12VDC linear ps with good results.
Let's say that to try costs very little money.
I think that the battery option is also very interesting.
But a traditional ps is more practical ... and can provide a clean enough voltage.
Also when the mains are dirty the ps is fundamental to suppress noise from the mains.More in general i would like to see more good quality caps in strategic places in these cheap dacs.
Like one quite big at the dc socket input ... some around the chips ...
