Not sure if they face a death penalty, but I'd bet less people die in China from random police brutality than in the USofA.
In any case, my latest Chinese product [a power amp] weighing 90lbs arrived at my door in perfect condition. Surely it was dropped many times [especially by foreign hating Americans] yet due to its exceptional packing it arrived perfect.
