TI compared the response of a couple of DAC's outputs (including the one in mac mini) at 100Hz and at 2kHz. I saw the level indication on TrueRTA software. The A/D were Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD.
The level indicator at 100Hz fluctuates "a lot" even though the input is sinusoidal tone in Pierre Verany CD. That is why I wrote "0.02 - 0.03 dB down" instead of a single future such as down by 0.0234dB.
I do not have an equipment to obtain frequency graph with the precision in the linked pictrure: clearly within +/0- 0.005dB from 100Hz to 2kHz, iPhone 5 Frequency Response, 200 kΩ load, 1 V RMS output, expanded scale. I guess Musical Fidelity V90 DAC is designed to achieve this kind of ruler flat frequency response.
