I read the lit page for the Schiit Yggdrasil..... It's a 21-bit DAC, quite unusual.....
BUT.....
It's actually closer to a 1990s design (20 bits) than a recent design (24 bits)....
I'd do a shootout with the DAC section of the Philips CDC-935.... But I'd need one loaned to me.... I cannot afford to shell out two grand for a DAC. (My financial situation isn't nearly as good as it was 15 years ago.)
