RE: New MHZS CD88H on the way

After about 100 hours of "burn in", this player continues to sound excellent. I finally did the CD to Vinyl comparison with Jerome Sabbagh's new album. Each was started at the same time so the tracks were only off about a second or so then all I had to do was switch the selector on my passive preamp and adjust the volume quickly. I did this through all the tracks (all four sides of the double LP set). After a single track, I knew exactly where the volume needed to be set to obtain equivalence.

The sound was extremely close, so much so that I sometimes forgot which I was listening to. There were moments when I detected more "presence" or the occasional slightly better definition in the higher frequencies of the LP, but overall this player makes me want to listen to my CD collection again.

Next, I'll start some tube rolling to see what shakes out.

Consider me a happy camper with the MHZS player.
