I have my internet and phone service through TWC and recently sought to replace the TWC modem with my own and save the rental fee. I found a telephony modem listed on their website and purchased it off of ebay. When I called them to install it I was told that I had to keep the TWC modem for the telephone service but there would be no monthly charge for it. So now I have two cable modems and no rental fee.
