Grace's m903 was Stereophile's Headphone product of the year for 2013, and I think the m920 is better in every way I can think of.
I prefer the Minimum Phase filter.
I am not aware of another DAC in the m920's street-price tier of $1895 that offers a Minimum Phase filter.
Both BH Photo and Sweetwater offer the m920 with free shipping and their own MBGs.
To the original poster, Markertek I am sure could make you very short jumper cables, something like 6 inches of wire, with balanced audio on 1/4-inch TRS Phono plugs going to Neutrik Gold Pins/Black Shell XLR Male plugs, with Canare or Mogami Star Quad cable, for not much money at all.
That will get past the problem that the rear panel of the m920 does not seem to allow for adapter plugs--I just tried with a pair of phono to XLR matching transformer adapter plugs, and the spacing was just a bit too small.
In most cases I would say don't bother, but, I believe that you have powered speakers with plate amps that are truly balanced, so, it would be worth it. Or, if your cables are not too thick, perhaps you could send them back to the factory to be retrofitted with phono plugs.
Ciao,
John
