RE: Dacs powered by batteries - any successful story ?

I once owned a battery-powered DAC called the Ack Dack..... When I first had it, I thought it was going to be "the one"..... But several weeks later the RFI gremlins made me try other things..... (This was one of the worst cases of "placebo effect" I've experienced.) I think had the product used more conventional filtering (it's a non-OS product), it could have been a very nice unit.
