Your experience with the CJ MV60 vs SixPacs sounds a little like mine with the CJ Premier 11a vs SixPacs.

I preferred the SixPacs as they sounded more robust and dynamic compared to the Premier 11a. And I do prefer to rock, which the SixPacs do very well. ;-)

I no longer own them but I can say with confidence that the SixPacs were my all time favorite for vacuum tube amplification at a budget price, provided the speakers were reasonable to drive. I used Tannoys at the time but when I moved to Thiel CS2.4s the SixPacs were slightly under powered.
