Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

In my system soundstage is

recording dependent.

This has been true for my trusty Harmon Kardon CD player, its shorter lived NAD replacement, my Scott Nixon DAC and now my Schiit DAC. The soundstage illusion is in the recording given your amplification, speakers and room are capable. My system variables have changed little other than sources. My amplification has only had one amp and one preamp change and I have had the same speakers over a 25+ year span, but have moved through 4 different digital sources.
