Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Berkeley Audio and Bricasti dacs ... are they ok ?

Hi just curious ... they are out of my reach.
Because if they are really good we should reconsider the delta-sigma dac chips, at least the ad1955 used in both (moreover not a very expensive part at all at 14 USD/eac)
So maybe speaking generally in a bad way of sigma-delta dacs is quite misleading and basically not correct. There are good and bad ones.
I am really hard trying to understand if this "multibit revival" is completely justified and the only way to get good sound is to go and hunt for one of these old dacs.
One of those cases in which the heart says "Yes !" and the mind ... "WTF !"
Thanks.

P.S. in the meantime i have found that both the Spectral SDR 4000 SL and a TOTL Jeff Rowland converter use a AD1853
Maybe in Analog Devices they have got the sigma-delta concept right ?
Kind regards,
bg
