Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

RE: vintage cd players versus modern transports

You might consider an Oppo BDP-105D. It plays everything digital and can by used as a DAC for computer audio. The thing I like is that it accepts USB hard drives and flash drives directly in its three USB ports so you don't need a computer music server. It plays DVD and Blu-ray movies, CDs and SACDs, and operates like a music server for high-resolution digital files up to 24/196 PCM as well as DSD. I have an audio/video entertainment system and my Oppo BDP-105D is the heart of my system.

Best regards,
John Elison
