However a good recording without dynamics compression and other fiddling around as in the HIFI era of the fifties can sound palatable on CD, the difference between analogue and digital is only relevant for real music lovers.
Most people go for convenience and clear listening in their car and that's how CD's are made, not for HiFi consious minority.
