Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

RE: Similar ones made by Samsung and Sony.

Google 'cd transport list' for what CD player builder uses WHAT transport.
Sony IS very popular. As is the Sanyo with other entries by Hitachi, Sharp, Teac and MY #1 choice, Philips. Other MINOR players exist.
I think Philips is OUT of the market? Too Bad. By all accounts they were the best.

I see now just how inexpensive these transports ARE. No wonder Philips dropped out. Probably not worth the hassle to make such a slim margin.
And yes, the Sanyo can be had ANY day of the week for <20$. In some cases lots less.
Too much is never enough
